Hello, I’m Nicky and after many years of combining my original career as an agronomist with
various roles in education, for the last 14 years I have been able to focus on my work in
education full time.
In secondary education working as an HLTA, I have many roles that include: planning and
carrying out literacy interventions, delivering Speech, Language and Communication programmes,
emotional, social and study skills support, both to individuals and small groups; I am a qualified
Specialist SpLD practitioner and deliver appropriately individualised, structured, cumulative
multi-sensory literacy programmes at primary and secondary level.
I believe that by making learning fun and accessible, through engaging the individual at their
own level and using their preferred learning style, skill levels, confidence and self-esteem will
grow which will facilitate and encourage their educational journey.
