Offering you Top Support and Dyslexia Testing in North Devon

I am a highly trained Specialist Assessor who is professionally qualified to assess, report, and diagnose dyslexia. I am also able to advise you on all aspects of dyslexia and literacy.

Providing informative dyslexia testing assessments to suit every age. The reports aim to be helpful, clear, and easy to read and understand. They contain top tips on how best the individual learns and how they can improve their future ‘lived experiences’.

Every dyslexic is an individual with individual challenges. Dyslexia manifests in many ways in both children and adults. A range of assessment packages are available to suit your needs.

Once you have booked an assessment date, and the deposit has been paid, I will ask you to complete my comprehensive questionnaire to give background information on yourself or your child. I will need this back 48 hours before the test so that I can read through this information and prepare the relevant assessments. The balance is collected when the assessment takes place.

There is time before and after the assessment for discussion about the assessment. Reports are received within a maximum of 4 weeks, but are usually received within 2 weeks.

On some occasions it is not possible to offer a clear-cut diagnosis of dyslexia. In such circumstances, a comprehensive description of the profile, including strengths and weaknesses will be given. If necessary, recommendations to other professionals, such as a speech and language therapist or occupational therapist will be included.

Adult/ DSA Diagnostic Assessment Report Package- £525.00
Assessments for higher education students and adults are usually sought to establish the nature of an individual’s difficulties, provide evidence for a DSA application and to give advice on future action. The assessment may indicate dyslexia, another specific learning difficulty, or that no specific difficulties exist. Whatever the outcome, recommendations are provided to help with the most appropriate way forward.

The assessment for adults lasts up to three hours, during which time you will be asked to complete a series of different tests that will provide a profile of your strengths and weaknesses. The assessment looks at background, education, ways of thinking, learning and problem-solving techniques as well as reading, writing, spelling and maths.

I will offer you an evaluation of my key findings at the end of the assessment and will also prepare a comprehensive and confidential report of the results with future recommendations for action. If your assessment has been paid for by your employer both you and your employer will receive reports. No confidential information of a personal nature will be included in the report that is sent to your employer.
